Ron Sack is a lifelong resident of Nebraska and has been employed in a family owned building material business for over forty years. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska where he studied Business Administration.
Ron and his wife Deb have always enjoyed travel and staying involved in various volunteer opportunities. Ron has been on six service trips to rural Mexico, where he worked with a school and the local medical clinic, providing equipment and much needed supplies. He has made three trips to work with Constru Casa in Guatemala with Nebraska volunteer groups. He also volunteered as an English teacher for six years at a local school teaching English to recently arrived immigrants, many of whom came from Guatemala. This also helped him to improve his Spanish.
Ron says 'I know that most volunteers with Constru Casa will say that the experience has really changed their lives. It is very gratifying to be part of a group that so directly improves the lives of so many very needy families. Possibly just as important, is how we change with the volunteer experience. Our view of real needs in the world, our acceptance of different cultures, and the knowledge of the fact that we can make a difference will always be changed. I am grateful to be a part of an organization that makes this opportunity possible.'
