Newsletter- September 2016
Dears Friends of Constru Casa,
Thanks to your support, this year has been very successful, and so we want to share with you the latest important news of our organization.
Also, we want to remind you that even though we have advanced in our mission of building better lives for Guatemalans, there is still a lot to do and your help is essential for that.
Constru Casa Team
More than 900 houses built!
Constu Casa’s team is really glad to announce that we have already built more than 900 houses in the 12 years of service in Guatemala, and all thanks to the people that have supported us all these years.
We still have a lot to do, but we are really happy that every year our organization is able to help more Guatemalan families to achieve their dreams. Also, being able to support them with our four year follow up program, means that they can have better life conditions and a safe place to see their children grow up.
Thanks for your support and we share our happiness with you.
Sponsor a project: Vijolom Sports Field
Vijolom is one of the most affected communities due to the civil war in Guatemala, along with other villages close by. Houses, schools and farmland were completely destroyed, and with the support of donors and volunteers we have already been able to build a complete, functioning school. However, they are still without a sportsfield.
One of our biggest wishes is to see this community complete, and full of happiness.

We started the construction of Salquil Grande School
In recent weeks we started the construction of the elementary school of Salquil El Grande, located in Quiche area. We want to thank Stitching Kinderprojecten Guatemala and Wild Geese for their trust in the realization of this project. In the next few months we will be able to share the inauguration of the project.
We visited Chuaquenum with Home for a Home
In August we gladly received Chris King, director of Home for a Home. We visited the community of Chuauquenum, where the H4H is the principal donor in our housing project with the objective to build 25 houses. We are really happy with the visit and we know that both organizations have the commitment to build better lives in Guatemala.
Every time we build a house means that we can see a family smile. We believe that every home we complete, for every person is a dream come true and a safe place where they can share new memories with their family.
As mentioned, we have already been able to build a better life for 900 Guatemalan families, but we still have a lot to do. We know that 900 smiles are still not enough in comparison to all the smiles we can build.
With your help we can create those smiles and give Guatemalan families a better quality of life. You can support us in creating smiles in different ways, you can volunteer, you can be an ambassador, you can be a monthly donor…!
